Biography

Sergeant Brad Fawcett is a 27 year police veteran. He was a full-time use of force instructor for the Vancouver Police Department and the Use of Force Coordinator for the Justice Institute of British Columbia Police Academy. Brad has provided expert opinions on use of force, police training and training standards, use of force decision making, memory and recall, and non-forearms prohibited weapons and weapons concealed by design in various courts, Coroner’s Inquests, and Public Inquiries. He is a sessional instructor of ethics in a law enforcement environment and professional communications at the Justice Institute of BC. He has been a faculty member of Law of Policing Conferences in Toronto and Vancouver and was a presenter at the Law Enforcement Forum in Belfast.
