Forced displacement resulting from humanitarian crises constitutes
one of the most severe threats to children’s development and safety
worldwide. Human trafficking is one of the most dangerous and
atrocious human rights violations, significantly impacting the lives of
millions of children, particularly through sexual exploitation. This
research analyzes the complex relationship between forced
displacement and human trafficking for sexual exploitation, and
examines its impacts on the lives of Palestinian refugee children.
This study aims to answer the question: How does forced
displacement shape the vulnerability of Palestinian refugee children to
being subjected to human trafficking for sexual exploitation? The
urgency of addressing these issues is emphasized by the growing
prevalence of humanitarian crises around the world. By analyzing the
dynamics, legal frameworks, and the social implications involved, this
study contributes to a deeper understanding of child protection
mechanisms in contexts of forced displacement.
