George, Kavita

Kavita George is a Certified Usability Analyst (CUA)™ by Human Factors International (HFI) and has served as Senior Web Specialist since 2019 at the Justice Institute of British Columbia, where she develops online e-learning courses and websites, applying her extensive user experience (UX) background to ensure design and technology solutions are accessible and user-centered. Kavita brings diverse experience from her previous work as a commercial art instructor, media analysis, consulting, and UX management, with her current research interests focused on digital accessibility and inclusive design in educational contexts. As Principal Investigator for the SSHRC-funded research project "Breaking Down Barriers: Exploring Challenges in the Creation of Accessible Documents within Educational Programs," she examines the barriers that impede the development of accessible educational materials.
